One Boat. One Group.
Completely Yours.
Seattle's private floating sauna, docked on Lake Union. Cedar dry sauna and steam sauna, cold plunge, wood-fired hot tub, and an upper-deck lounge — reserved only for your group.
Docked, calm, and all yours — no sailing, no schedule to chase. Banya Boat stays secured at the marina on Lake Union for your entire visit. Arrive, settle in, and the whole boat is yours for 3 full hours. The cold plunge is on board — there's no entering the lake or marina water.
The Experience
Heat. Cool down. Rest. Repeat.
Banya Boat combines traditional sauna culture, hot-and-cold therapy, and Lake Union views in one floating retreat. Come to recharge, recover, connect with friends, or simply escape the city for a while — nobody else is joining your reservation.
Cedar Dry Sauna
Traditional high-heat cedar sauna with a glowing Himalayan salt wall, reaching 185°F. Add water to the stones for short bursts of steam and deeper heat.
Steam Sauna
A softer, humid heat in the steam room — perfect for alternating with the dry sauna across your rounds.
Cold Plunge
Our designated on-board cold plunge, plus a cold bucket shower and outdoor showers to cool down gradually, at your own pace.
Wood-Fired Hot Tub
Soak on deck in the 700-gallon wood-fired hot tub with open views across Lake Union — day or under the lights at night.
Upper-Deck Lounge
Loungers, a fire table, and skyline views upstairs. Wrap up, breathe, and watch the lake between rounds.
Inside Lounge
Captain's chairs by panoramic windows, a nautical-chart ceiling, and backlit Seattle skyline art — the warm indoor space to rest between rounds.
Tea Station
Hot herbal tea and fresh cold water, on tap in the lounge. Pour a cup, wrap up, and watch the lake between rounds — tea is included with every session.
Changing Rooms
Two private changing rooms with benches, hooks, and lockers for your things — plus indoor and outdoor showers to rinse off before and after.
Cold Bucket Shower
Pull the chain for an instant cold cascade — the fastest cool-down on deck, alongside the outdoor showers.

Adults 18+ only
Banya Boat is strictly 18+. No minors aboard, and no pets (except a qualified service animal where required by law).
The lake is not a cold plunge
Never swim, jump, dive, or enter Lake Union or marina water. Use only the on-board cold plunge, showers, and cold bucket.
A quiet marina, not a party boat
Keep voices and music respectful, walk carefully through the marina, and follow staff and marina instructions at all times.
Your health is your responsibility
Heat, steam, hot tub, and cold plunge carry real risks. Know your limits, stay hydrated, and stop immediately if you feel unwell.
Docked — but floating
The boat stays secured at the dock, yet decks and docks can move with wind, waves, and wakes, and surfaces get wet. Walk carefully and use handrails.
Bookings are final
All bookings and payments are non-refundable. Rescheduling is available, subject to availability. Rule violations can end a visit without a refund.

What in the world is Banya Boat?
Banya Boat is a private floating sauna and wellness experience on Seattle's Lake Union. The entire space is reserved for your group, giving you time to enjoy traditional heat, cold therapy, relaxation, and waterfront views without sharing the facility with outside guests.
Does Banya Boat leave the dock?
No — and that's the point. Banya Boat is a stationary floating wellness facility docked at its moorage. It is not a chartered vessel and does not leave the marina during reservations, so you can arrive, settle in, and relax with no sailing schedule to chase.
Is Banya Boat rented privately?
Yes. Banya Boat is currently available for private group reservations only. Your group has exclusive use of the facility during your reserved time.
How many guests can come?
Private reservations are available for groups of up to 12 guests. Every session — weekday ($600) or weekend ($795) — includes up to 6 people, and additional guests may be added at $100 per guest up to the 12-person maximum. Banya Boat is adults only (18+).
What is included?
Your private experience includes access to:
- Traditional cedar dry sauna
- Steam sauna
- Cold plunge
- Wood-fired hot tub
- Cold bucket shower
- Outdoor showers
- Two private changing rooms
- Herbal tea station
- Upper-deck lounge
- Lake Union views
How long should we stay?
Private Sessions run a minimum of 3 hours — enough time to settle in, enjoy several rounds of heat and cold, relax between sessions, and experience the boat without feeling rushed. Additional hours can be added for the whole group at $200 per hour Monday–Thursday and $250 per hour Friday–Sunday. Short on time on a weekday? The Weekday Reset is a 2-hour session available Monday–Thursday daytime, with the same full-boat private access.
What sauna and cold plunge routine should we follow?
There is no single required routine, but many guests enjoy alternating between heat, cold, and rest: time in the dry sauna or steam room, followed by a cold plunge or cool shower, then a period of relaxation before beginning another round. Listen to your body and move at your own pace.
How hot is the dry sauna?
185 degrees Fahrenheit. Banya Boat features a traditional high-heat cedar sauna designed for an authentic banya-style experience. Guests can enjoy strong dry heat and add steam to the sauna stones for short bursts of humidity and deeper heat.
Is Banya Boat good for birthdays and private celebrations?
Yes. Because the entire boat is reserved for your group, Banya Boat works especially well for birthdays, small celebrations, wellness gatherings, couples, friends, and private group experiences. It gives everyone something to enjoy while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and personal.
Do guests need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Every guest participating in the Banya Boat experience is required to complete a liability waiver before using the facility. For group reservations, each participating guest should complete their own waiver before arrival. See the Liability Waiver section above — right after booking.
Are children allowed on Banya Boat?
Banya Boat is an adults-only (18+) experience, so your group can fully unwind. No guests under 18 are permitted aboard.
Can we swim in the lake or use it as a cold plunge?
No. The lake is not a cold plunge. Swimming, jumping, diving, or entering Lake Union or marina water from Banya Boat or the docks is strictly prohibited. Please use only the designated on-board cold plunge, showers, and cold bucket.
Where can I park?
Parking is available in the surrounding Lake Union area. We recommend arriving a little early to allow time to park, walk to the dock, and get settled before your reservation begins. Because parking availability can vary by day and time, rideshare is also a convenient option — especially for larger groups. Detailed arrival and parking instructions are provided with your booking confirmation.
What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
All Banya Boat bookings are non-refundable, and all payments are final. If your plans change, your reservation may be rescheduled to another available date and time, subject to availability.
